Adoption Hope
International is proud to network with Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin
and Upper Michigan, Inc. to provide adoption services in Russia. Lutheran
Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, Inc. is accredited by the
Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Russia is one of our largest
international adoption programs. We work in over a dozen cities. The
children available are infants through school age, special needs and sibling
groups. All of the children live in orphanages.
We work with both married couples and singles. There are few age
restrictions other then applicants who are over 50 usually may not be
considered for infants in most of our Russian programs. The children in
Russia are put on a registry for 3 months. In some of our Russian cities, we
receive referrals of waiting children directly from our Russian
coordinators. In other cities we send the dossier and then we receive
referrals. The travel requirements are different for the different programs.
The travel requirements consist of two trips.
